WA Economic Update – Employment Trend Growth Resumed

June employment growth across Australia was a very strong 51k driven by solid growth in New South Wales and Queensland. Pleasingly, approximately 3,000 jobs were added to the Western Australian Economy with the increase being driven by part-time employment growth. In addition, the unemployment rate in WA has declined marginally despite a further increase in the participation rate. The graph below illustrates trend employment growth in the State has resumed again after a patchy performance around the turn of the year.
